To further push the textures of our world and our character, I was tasked with painting various textures on the film, most notably, our owl’s feathers. Each feather was hand drawn using Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, and Substance Painter and then placed on each feather plane. In order to make our owl feel more realistic, the team and I traveled to the Oatland Wildlife Center in Savannah, GA and studied barn owls and feathers up close.
